Can I take Diamox if I have slightly raised blood pressure?

Full question:
Can I take Diamox if I have slightly raised blood pressure (154 over 92) and also need to keep a GT Spray with me as I have a minor heart complaint whereby my heart arteries fibulate when I am over exerted? I do not have Angina or heart disease and my arteries are not blocked. I know all this as I had an Angiogram a year or so ago.

Response from Dr Fox:
Diamox should be fine with your blood pressure and with the history of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (intermittent irregular heart beat), however; I would recommend taking a test dose of one tablet twice daily for 2 days, as the fibrillation can be very sensitive to minor changes in blood biochemistry.
