Dr Fox has teamed up with a new company, Red Box Healthcare Ltd, to help patients get treatment in easier ways.

A few months ago Boots and Tesco set up systems to allow their pharmacists to supply prescription medication, such as the erectile dysfunction medication, Viagra and the anti-malaria tablet Malarone, without a doctor’s prescription.

Dr Fox is helping to do the same for all high street chemists. (more…)

Homeopathy is a system of treatment based on the principle of stimulating healing by administering ultra dilute solutions. In practice the active ingredients of homeopathic remedies are measured in parts per million. A sceptic might say the treatment is not much different from water.

Conventional medicine is known as allopathic. Allopathic treatment is associated with well known problems; side effects, interactions, cost, and for some people, the unnaturalness, are all downsides. The cure can be worse than the disease. Doctors experienced in allopathic treatment live with these concerns. (more…)

According to an article in The Telegraph (Danger of buying malaria pills at the chemist) some people are being given the wrong advice about which malaria tablet to take. Some high street chemists are advising people to take proguanil and chloroquine for countries where only Malarone or doxycycline or mefloquine (Larium) are effective. (more…)

Some online clinics in the UK claim it is unlawful to advertise the price of prescription medicine. This does not mean online clinics are not allowed to show their prices.

Dr Fox charges 25-50% less than other online clinics. We are more than happy to let customers see how much we charge and to compare prescription medicine prices with other online clinics regulated in the UK. (more…)

Researchers have compared prices of treatment at The Online Clinic, 121 Doc, Lloyds Online Doctor, First Med, Meds  4 All, Private Meds, Health Express and Chemist Direct.
