\"OnlineDr Fox introduced extra identity verification checks November 2017. All online clinics are required by the regulator, the Care Quality Commission<\/a>, to have in place patient identity verification processes.<\/p>\n

How the checks work<\/h2>\n

The majority of patients can be verified online instantly by referencing data on their credit profile. This is called a ‘soft’ check to validate identity only, and is not a check on a person\u2019s credit-worthiness. The ID check will not affect their credit rating.<\/p>\n

Patient\u2019s must enter their correct full name and date of birth, and a delivery address that is registered with a payment card provider, bank or building society, finance provider, or electoral register, to pass an online credit check.<\/p>\n

Photo ID option<\/h2>\n

Patients who cannot be verified online from credit profile or electoral roll data can still proceed to make an order. After ordering they will be required to upload a photo of a valid photo identity document<\/strong> (passport, driving licence, 18+ card, national ID card – must be current and in-date), that contains their name, date of birth, and a photo,\u00a0 before a prescription can be issued and an order is despatched.<\/p>\n

An administrator will review the document (Monday\u2013Friday 9am\u20135pm) to confirm identity, and the photo ID will then be deleted from our server<\/strong>. ID document images will be encrypted until deleted.<\/p>\n

Once a patient’s identity has been verified they will not be required to undergo the process again.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
