Avomine
When travellers diarrhoea strikes you need to rest and drink plenty of fluids. Avomine for nausea helps you do this. Together with antibiotic, Ciprofloxacin or Azithromycin for infection, and Loperamide for diarrhoea, Avomine is part of an effective treatment you can take with you on your travels.
How Avomine works
Avomine (promethazine 25mg) damps down activity in the part of the brain controlling nausea. It tends to produce slight drowsiness at the same time. Avomine is also effective against travel sickness.
Take 1 tablet 6 hourly as required, max 4 a day. Continue to drink plenty of water when you have diarrhoea and vomiting to replace any fluid loss: 3-4 litres (6 pints) a day.
