Dr Fox is an online consultation and prescription service. Online pharmacies can add the Dr Fox prescription service to their own websites.
Adding an online prescription service to your pharmacy website lets your customers order prescription items. The prescriptions from customers go to your pharmacy for dispensing.
You can add consultation services for contraception, chlamydia treatment, erectile dysfunction, malaria tablets, and Champix . You can add any items from the Dr Fox menu on the left of this page.
An online prescription service gives your pharmacy customers what they want on your website.
Free set up and IT
Adding our consultation service to your pharmacy website is free. Dr Fox does all the work. There is no charge.
It takes only a day or two to set up. All the information a pharmacy needs to operate the system is provided in a few pages of protocols.
To participate, all an online pharmacy has to do is email or telephone 0845 373 2870 and we will do the rest. Dr Fox will give you the code and your own admin log-in. Your prescriptions will automatically be sent to you for dispensing.
Included in the set up is invoicing software. You do not need any complicated accountancy. Your online pharmacy staff enter costs as items are dispensed (or later) and this generates an invoice.
It is that simple. The process is seamless.
You can add the Dr Fox prescription service to your website without obligation on a trial basis.
Branding of prescription services
Everything is branded to your pharmacy.
The consultation service windows are branded to your pharmacy. The Dr Fox logo takes a secondary place to your pharmacy. The dispensing pharmacy details are swapped out for your own. The customer will associate the prescription service with your pharmacy website.
Dr Fox can supply custom banners and links.
Customers registered through links from your pharmacy will remain your customers. Repeat orders from your customers always stay with you.
Business model for online pharmacy partnership
Online pharmacy consultation services are added free.
Dr Fox carries out the online consultations. We use a combination of questionnaire, free text and review by GMC registered doctor.
Prescriptions are sent electronically for your pharmacy to dispense. The customer pays for items through Dr Fox. Dr Fox pays a premium to pharmacies for the dispensing. For more details see Dr Fox partners.
Legal side
Dr Fox doctors take medicolegal responsibility for their prescribing. Customers agree terms and conditions with Dr Fox as part of the consultation. Dr Fox is registered with the Care Quality Commission.
The pharmacy is responsible only for its dispensing and dispatching.
Support services
Dr Fox employs doctors to issue prescriptions, answer queries from customers and respond to pharmacies about dispensing and dispatching queries.

In practice you can put a link to your own branded consultation service where you need it on your website.
Get ahead of your online pharmacy competitors
Once you have the consultation prescription services set up you can promote the consultations on your website through Google or other ads, links or in email campaigns to your customer base. You can promote particular prescription items or a general prescription service.
